Harvey O. Pischer, age 90, of Neillsville, WI died Monday, November 14, 2016 at the Pine View Care Center in Black River Falls, WI.Harvey Oswald Pischer was born on May 15, 1926 in the Town of Grant, Clark County, Wisconsin, the son of Oswald A. and Anna J. (Mallig) Pischer. He was baptized June 6, 1926 and was confirmed on May 26, 1940. Harvey attended the Wild Rose School in the Town of Grant, Maple-Works Lutheran School, and graduated from Granton High School in 1944. He was married to Amber Marg on June 26, 1948 in Granton. They farmed in the Granton area for a number of years. Harvey also worked at the South Grant Cheese Factory. The family moved to Neillsville in 1958. Harvey went to work for Tesmer Construction, working there for 33 years. He retired in 1991 as co-owner of Tesmer Construction. He also worked part-time for Gross Motors in Neillsville.Harvey was quite involved in city and county affairs, serving on the City Council as 3rd Ward Alderman. He was a charter member of the Clark County Forestry and Parks Trails Advisory Committee, and the Clark County Comprehensive Land Use Plan Committee. Harvey served 12 years on the Neillsville Airport Committee, and was involved in some of the improvements we have there today. He also belonged to the Neillsville Men's Club, the Southern Clark County Sportsman's Club, and the Granton FFA Alumni. Harvey held membership in the Clark County Historical Society and the 1897 Clark County Jail Museum. He was a member of the Hatfield Snowmobile Club, and at one time served as Vice President of the Clark County Snowmobile Council. Harvey enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, and camping with his grandchildren.Harvey was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville, and served as chairman of the building committee for the new church built in 1968. He is survived by his wife, Amber, along with four children, Kenneth Pischer (Trudy Kendall) of Santa Rosa, CA, Kathleen (Thomas) Hyslop of Pewaukee, WI, David Pischer (Karen Ivey) of Edmonds, WA, and Carrie (Dan) Christie of Black River Falls, WI.He was the proud grandfather of Jason (Valerie) Pischer, Jennifer (Joseph) Barker, Erik (Megan) Hyslop, Kevin (Jennifer) Christie, Lisa and Lori Christie, Anna and Austin Pischer, and Amber and Alex Ivey.He also had seven great-grandchildren, Hudson and Ryan Pischer, Tommy, Morgan and Will Barker, Helena Hyslop, and Elizabeth Christie.Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Viola Keuer of Granton and a brother, Leroy Pischer of Douglas, AZ.Visitation will take place on Friday, December 9th at the Gesche Funeral Home, 4 South Grand Ave, Neillsville, WI from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Visitation continues on Saturday, December 10th at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 711 W. 5th St., Neillsville, WI from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 10th.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the 1897 Clark County Jail Museum, P.O.
