Alan Stanley Flicek

Alan Flicek, age 63, of Neillsville, WI died June 9, 2016 at the Clark County Rehabilitation and Living Center surrounded by his loving family.Alan was born on April 30, 1953 in Black River Falls, WI the son of Stanley and Arlene Flicek. He grew up on the family farm in Alma Center and graduated from Alma Center High School in 1971. He attended Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire after graduation. Alan met his wife, Cheri, in Eau Claire. They were married on June 9, 1971 in Hayward, WI. They moved to Neillsville and Alan worked for the city of Neillsville as a water operator for 37 years.Al enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with their children and grandchildren. They enjoyed spending summers at their trailer on Lake Ojaski in Chetek and traveling to Mexico and Florida.Al is survived by his wife, Cheri, their children, Chris (Michelle) Flicek of Green Bay, WI, Kari (Jacob) Feldman of LaCrescent, MN, grandchildren, Mason, Gracie and Logan of Green Bay, WI and Benjamin of LaCrescent, MN. Alan is further survived by his mother, Arlene Flicek of Black River Falls, WI, a sister, Carol Thomas of Black River Falls, WI, a brother-in-law, Bob Olson and sister-in-law, Marcy Olson both of La Crosse, WI and mother-in-law, Marlys Clow of La Crosse, WI along with nieces and nephews.Alan was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Greenwood, father, Stanley Flicek, father-in-law, Earl Clow and a brother-in-law, Joel ThomasA Memorial Service for Alan will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, June 24, 2016 at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville, WI.
