Ann M Schmitt

Ann M Schmitt, age 55, of Granton, WI died on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at her home.Ann Marie Whiteside was born on October 2, 1959 in Eau Claire, WI the daughter of Roy and Frances (Meyer) Whiteside. She attended Regis High School. On May 6, 1978 she was united in marriage to David Schmitt. Ann raised her family and worked at the Neillsville Foundry and then at Dairy Concepts in Chili for many years. Ann loved gardening and flowers, traveling and Nascar, camping, taking care of her fish pond and just generally loved to have fun. Ann is survived by her husband, David, two sons, Mathew Schmitt of Chili, WI and Joshua Schmitt of Missoula, MT, a granddaughter, Abigail, sisters; Connie (Don) Holden of Menomonie, WI, Roylene (Craig) Garrett of Madison, WI, Susan (Don) Anderson of Thorp, WI and Ruthann (Joe) Tarbox of Chippewa Falls, WI, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Jeanette Geist of Boyd, WI, brothers-in-law, Dan (Pam) Schmitt of Chippewa Falls, WI, Steve (Tammy) Schmitt of Cadott, WI, Kevin (Brenda) Schmitt of Chili, WI and Jamie (Tina) Schmitz of Chippewa Falls, WI.She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Jeremy a sister, Betty Whiteside, her father-in-law, Sylvester Schmitt and step-father-in-law, Tony Geist.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Neillsville. Rev. Varkey V. Joseph will officiate. Providing music will be St. Mary's Choir and Ronald Resong, organist. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville and again from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday morning before the service at the church.
