Robert H. Dillenbeck, age 65, of Neillsville, WI died on Monday, February 3, 2014 at his home.Robert Henry Dillenbeck was born on December 19, 1948 in Greenwood, WI the son of Harold Albert and Margaret Lydia (Einfeldt) Dillenbeck Sr.. He graduated from Greenwood High School in 1967. Bob was a naturally talented athlete having played football and basketball very well in high school and went on to play football for UW Stevens Point. In 1969 he was drafted into the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War. When he returned to the states in 1971 he went to work logging with Dave Volvosek. In 1977 Bob started his own logging company which he still worked to this day. Bob loved everything about the outdoors including hunting, and always made sure he was respectful of the environment. Bob was united in marriage to Denise James in 1973 in Delavan, WI. Together they had two children. Bob loved to coach Little League while his kids were growing up. He was known for his wonderful gift of patience. Bob was an exceptional carpenter and made many detailed doll houses and numerous gifts for family and friends and two of his own homes which he was very proud of. Bob was a quietly caring man but also had a great sense of humor. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. They were his pride and joy.Bob is survived by a son, Robert (Holly) Dillenbeck of Mosinee, WI and a daughter, Jeni (Mark) Lezotte of Menasha, WI, four grandchildren, Brooklyn and Logan Dillenbeck and Grace and Owen Lezotte. He is also survived by siblings, Carole (Del) Toburen of Greenwood, WI, Roger Dillenbeck of Eau Claire, WI, Chuck (Marge) Rondorf of West Bend, WI, Joanne (Ron) Henchen of Eau Claire, WI, Jim (Sue) Dillenbeck of LaCrosse, WI, Harold (Kathy) Dillenbeck of Greenwood, WI, Rick (Joy) Dillenbeck of Schulenburg, TX and Deb (Skeeter) Larson of Marshfield, WI and his father-in-law, Arden Reum of Eau Claire, WI, many nieces and nephews and many grand nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents.A Memorial Service will be held for Bob at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 7, 2014 at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Friday morning at the funeral home.
