Larry Lee Daniels

Larry Lee Daniels was born in Marshfield on January 14, 1947 and passed away on December 15, 2013 after a short battle with brain cancer. He was the son of Frederick and Luella (Ratsch) Daniels. He was raised in rural Neillsville and attended Wild Rose and Kurth country schools and graduated from Neillsville High School in 1965. Larry attended and graduated from the UW Eau Claire. He enlisted in the army and served in Vietnam from 1969 to 1971 with an honorable discharge. He moved to Illinois where he met and married Jacqueline Schrader in 1974. His salesmanship was amazing and he worked for Standard Cash Register and O'Brien Brothers Inc.Larry was a member of the MG car club and loved his little MG midget and going on road trips He also was fortunate enough to travel to many places and yet he always loved coming back to Wisconsin, especially the home farm. He remarked how quiet and peaceful it is when he visits. Larry doted on his nieces and nephews and they will miss him dearly. He was predeceased by his father Frederick Daniels, mother Luella (Ratsch) Daniels Bragg, step-father David Bragg, wife Jacqueline (Schrader) Daniels, sister Luann Erickson and a nephew Frederick Maurice Daniels. Larry is survived by his special friend Mary Hanson, his brother Steven (Sue) Daniels, sisters Susan (Evan) Erickson, Cheryl (David Stedman, nieces Tina (Chris) Mueller, and Jennifer Erickson, nephews Dale Erickson, Matthew Daniels, Justin (Jill) Erickson, and Jason (Mandy) Erickson. He is further survived by many great nieces and nephews, and a special little angel, Ingrid.Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 20th at the Gesche Funeral Home from 5-8. Services will be at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Neillsville at 1 PM with visitation on hour prior to the service. He will be buried in the Grant Town Cemetery with full military honors.Pallbearers are his nephews Dale Erickson, Matthew Daniels, Justin Erickson, Jason Erickson, and his special cousins Russell Ratsch and Gerald Marden.
