Patrick J. Sullivan, age 70, of Neillsville, WI died on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family.Patrick Jon Sullivan was born on March 3, 1943 the son of Edward and Virginia (Neumann) Smith in Chicago, IL. He graduated from Lane Tech High School in Chicago and in 1960 he joined the United States Army and served in Vietnam as a combat medic. In August of 1976 he was united in marriage to Kathleen Lynch in Cody, WY. Patrick and Kathleen raised their family in Land O Lakes, Florida where he worked as a General Contractor. In 1993 they bought the Merrillan Caf and moved to the Neillsville area. Patrick loved reading and sports of all kinds. He also loved spending time with his family, fishing, hunting and playing Texas Hold 'Em. Patrick served on the Merrillan Fire Department as a First Responder and a Fireman. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen, children; Aryn Sullivan of Austin, TX, Shawna Sullivan of Chicago, IL, Patrick (Heather) Sullivan of Eau Claire, WI, Michael (Christina) Sullivan of Carpentersville, IL and Jeremy (Jenna) Sullivan of Barttlet, IL and five grandchildren, Mayah, Owen, Leah, Finley and Hadley. He is also survived by a niece, Kelly and nephews, James, Bill and Brian.Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Patricia Lucy-Sepke and a niece, Susan.A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the Gesche Funeral home in Neillsville. Pastor Douglas Bjerke will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning before the service at the funeral home.Online Condolences may be made at www.geschefh.com.
