Larry Allen Marshall, age 73, of Melrose, WI died Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at the Family Heritage Care and Rehabilitation Center in Black River Falls, WI.Larry Allen Marshall was born on April 1, 1939 in Durand, WI the son of Clair Boyd and Genevieve (O'Brien) Marshall. He graduated from Lakeville High School in MN and was united in marriage to Lois May Ehrhardt on February 28, 1959. Their first married home was Lois's 28' trailer home in Bloomington, MN. They had their two daughters, Lucinda and Lisa there. They later moved to Onalaska, WI and then finally Melrose, WI. His work history included working for Napco for five years and Control Data for ten years in Minnesota. He worked at Outers Laboratories in Onalaska, WI for two years. Larry worked with his father for three and one half years at their company American Pyrosun in Galesville, WI, and then from 1973 until retirement he worked for NCR/Indus International in West Salem, WI.Larry played the clarinet while in high school and his musical tastes were the big bands, jazz and classical. He loved playing games and cards, watching football, especially the Badgers, Packers, and Vikings and following Brett Favre's career. He loved watching animal planet, survivor and the Alaska wilderness reality series. In the 1970's Larry was a pilot and he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping, but in his later years he enjoyed tending to his fruit trees and gardening. Larry loved having pets and nature in general, but most of all he loved his family and spending time with them. He is survived by two daughters, Lucinda May (Scott) Gates of Black River Falls, WI and Lisa May (Kenneth) Holland of Dudley, NC, five grandchildren, Nicole May (Benjamin) McIntosh of Valdosta, GA, Jessica May Nephew of Melrose, WI, William Lee Holland of Dudley, NC, Jonathan Gates of Abbotsford, WI and Kathryn Gates of Williston, ND.He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois May Marshall and his parents. A Memorial Service for Larry will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville, WI. Pastor Ken Jordan of the Black River Falls Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
