Bud Zielke, 89, of Hatfield, WI passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at his home.He built his retirement home in Hatfield after living in River Falls, WI and White Bear Lake, MN with his wife and children. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and woodworking. Bud served in the 128th, 32nd Infantry Division during WWII.He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Mae (Machtan) Zielke.Bud is survived by a daughter, Barbara of Oakdale, MN, and sons, Mike (Mary) Zielke and Byron Zielke both of Big Fork, MN, sisters, Violet and Carol, brothers, Ray (Irmgard) Zielke and Lynn (Louise) Zielke and a sister-in-law, Betty. He is also survived by 5 Grandchildren; Michael Jr., Mark (Amy), Martin (Heather), Melissa (Lucas) and Misty (Josh) and 8 Great Grandchildren; Ashley, Rae Anne, Ruby, Jada, Zak, Peter, Melody and Issac and 3 special friends; Ken, Brittany & Mavis.Funeral services for Bud will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 28, 2011 at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Friday prior to the service.
