Lydia Hemersbach, age 87, of Granton, WI died Monday, September 12, 2011 at the Neillsville Care and Rehabilitation Center.Lydia Emilie Hillert was born on January 30, 1924 in Granton, WI the daughter of August and Eugenia (Mueller) Hillert. She attended the Roder School in Granton and graduated from the Granton High School in 1942. On August 8, 1953 she was united in marriage to Henry Hemersbach in Waukegan, IL. They lived in Lake Mills, WI. Henry died on June 1, 1983 and in 1986 Lydia moved back to Granton.She is survived by a sister Ida Hinkelmann. Patricia Hemersbach, Tuscon, AZ Angela Merlak, Wonder Lake, IL, Frieda Thorson, Greenwood, WI and nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, her parents, a brother, Martin Hillert, sisters-in-law, Dora & Marie Hillert Brothers-in-law, Ewald Hinkelmann, Edmund & Tina Hemersbach, Alphonse & Hedy Hemersbach, Linus Hemersbach, Wilbert Hemersbach, Martin Merlak and sisters-in-law, Lydia Brown, Helen and Ed Steffen.A Memorial Service for Lydia will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 15, 2011 at the Zion American Evangelical Lutheran Church in Granton, WI. Pastor Keith Lueneburg will officiate. Music will be provided by Marjorie Dahl, organist. Private interment will be in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Marshfield, WI.
