Jeanette Zank, age 88, of Neillsville, WI died Monday, September 5, 2011 at the Neillsville Care and Rehabilitation Center in Neillsville.Jeanette Irene Miller was born on March 22, 1923 in the Town of Pine Valley, Clark County, Wisconsin the daughter of Frank and Louise (Kessler) Miller. She attended Neillsville area schools and graduated from Neillsville High School. She then worked for a short time at a shoe factory in Marshfield, WI. On May 1, 1943 she was united in marriage to Frank Zank at Scott Field Air Force Base in Illinois. Jeanette went with Frank when he was transferred to California and she returned home when he was transferred overseas. When Frank returned home, they started a family and farmed in the Town of Pine Valley until they purchased their farm in the town of Grant. In 1963, she began working as a cleaning lady at the Neillsville Hospital and a short time later she went to work for Schultz Bros. Five and Ten and worked there for 14 years.She was a member of the United Church of Christ and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed flowers and dancing, especially to polkas, but most of all she loved her family and loved spending time with them at the family gatherings.She is survived by her husband, Frank, seven children, Linda (Stuart) Wulf of Elkhorn, WI, Ron (Amber) Zank of Neillsville, WI, Donna (Dennis) Eddy of Neillsville, WI, LuAnne (Bud) Eddy of Burlington, WI, Wanda (Mark) Kunze of Neillsville, WI, Dale (Stacy) Zank of Neillsville, WI and Lori (Brad) Schmidt of Neillsville, WI, 14 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, Brent and Jenell Reynolds, Shannon and Megan Wulf, Alexis and Mason Eddy, Kennedy and Bailey Zank and Braydon Zank. Jeanette is also survived by a brother, Donald (Caroline) Miller of Evansville, WI.She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Angie and four brothers, Bill, Mick, Jim and Clarence.Funeral Services for Jeanette will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 10, 2011 at the United Church of Christ in Neillsville. Pastor Bryan Olson will officiate. Music will be provided by Eileen Zank, organist and Walter Karl, soloist. Interment will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
