Ruth I Berlick

Ruth Berlick, age 93, of Neillsville, WI died Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at the Neillsville Care and Rehabilitation Center.Ruth Iola Paulson was born on May 2, 1918 in Granton, WI the daughter of Ross and Maude (Raymond) Paulson. She attended and graduated from Neillsville High School and then worked as a telephone operator. On June 15, 1940 she was united in marriage to Norbert Berlick in the Town of Lake. For 23 years Ruth worked as a nurse's aid at the nursing home in Neillsville. Her hobbies included travelling, antiques, quilting, playing cards and trips to the casino.She was a member of the United Church of Christ and their Ladies Aid in Neillsville. She loved baking cookies and making quilts for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Betty Berlick of Marshfield, WI, three grandchildren, Deborah (Jim) Varsho of Marshfield, WI, Sandi (Ron) Anderson of Marshfield, WI and David (Kelly) Berlick of Appleton, WI, four great grandchildren, Jamie Berlick of San Diego, CA, Austin, Peyton and Carson Berlick of Appleton, WI and two step-grandsons, Glen and Tynan Anderson of Tomahawk, WI.She was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert in 1981, a son, David Ross in 1988, three brothers and three sisters.Funeral Services for Ruth will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 3, 2011 at the United Church of Christ in Neillsville. Pastor Judith Anderson-Bauer will officiate. Interment will be in the Windfall Cemetery in Granton, WI.
