Gail Walker, age 55, of Neillsville, WI died Friday, August 19, 2011 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, WI.Gail Lynnette Walker was born on April 1, 1956 in Marshfield, WI the daughter of Frederick and Elizabeth (Embke) Stelter. She went to school in Neillsville , where she graduated in 1974. She was united in marriage to Donald Walker on October 16, 1976. She was elected to the position of Clerk of Court of Clark County in November of 2002, where she remained until her passing. Prior to that she worked at the dental clinic of Marshfield, she also had ten years in banking with the Neillsville Bank and M&I Bank of Neillsville. She then worked as a legal secretary in the Clark County district attorney's office for over 15 years beginning in March 1987. She was also the secretary for the Neillsville Gun Club for over 15 years.Gail was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville. She enjoyed going on vacations and motorcycle trips. She also loved to shop, bake, and play with her grandchildren.She is survived by her husband, Don, two sons, Dallas (Rebecca) Walker of Rothschild, WI, Nicholas (Kristen) Walker of Eau Claire, WI and a daughter, Bethany (Mike) Zank of Neillsville, six grandchildren, Devany and Whitney Walker, Taylor and Brady Walker and Kennedy and Bailey Zank. Gail is also survived by her mother, Elizabeth Stelter of Neillsville and siblings, Diane (Stanley) Blaskowski of Stratford, WI, Sandra (Richard) Kren of Watertown, WI, Frederick Stelter of Neillsville, WI, Linda (Dan) Krehmeyer of Neillsville, WI, Yvonne (David) Herron of Marshfield, WI and Barbara (Mark) Cattanach of Neillsville, WI.She was preceded in death by her father, Frederick Stelter.A Memorial Service for Gail will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville. Pastor Timothy Biebert will officiate. Music will be provided by Sharon Nemitz, organist. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at the church.In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family who will be making a donation to an Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.Funeral Home:Gesche Funeral Home4 South Grand AvenueNeillsville, WIUS 54456
