Claudia Logwin

Claudia Logwin, 91, of Neillsville, WI, passed peacefully into God's presence on April 1, 2025 at home in West Chicago, IL, where she lived with her niece Becky (Neal) Charleston.

Claudia Nazaruk Logwin, daughter of Terentij and Barbara Nazaruk, was born January 10, 1934, in Obera, Misiones, Argentina. She came to the United States in 1971 and lived in the Ukrainian Village neighborhood in Chicago, IL. In 1975 she married Walter Logwin and moved to Neillsville, WI, where they lived on a farm outside of town. Besides farming, Claudia worked in town as a caregiver for many years. After her husband's passing, Claudia moved to Illinois, where she spent her last three and a half years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, doing puzzles, and reading her Bible. Claudia loved her church family at Living Hope Evangelical Free Church in Neillsville. Most of all, she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, with Whom she is now and for eternity. A favorite verse of hers, which describes her so well is Psalm 130:5 "I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in His Word I put my hope."

She is survived by her brother, Bruno (Eugenia) Nazaruk (Palos Heights, IL), sister-in-law, Catalina Nazaruk (Effingham, IL), sister-in-law Lydia Dodte (Neillsville, WI), and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Walter Logwin, her parents, and her siblings Luisa Szmandiuk, Sonia Kupinsky, Eugenia Saavedra, and Victor Nazaruk.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 5, 2025 at the Living Hope Evangelical Free Church in Neillsville, WI.
