Dennis Eugene Palms

A celebration of Dennis's life will be held Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 11:00 at Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, WI.  Pastor Terry Marg will officiate.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  Saturday, June 12 prior to the service at the funeral home.

Dennis E. Palms passed away peacefully on September 6, 2020 at Maple Ridge Assisted Living in Plover, WI.

Dennis was born August 20, 1945 in Neillsville, WI., the son of Roy and Phyllis (Vetter) Palms.  He married Faye (Stank) Schattner and they had three children, Craig, Lisa and Brenda.  This marriage ended in divorce.  He later married Sharon (Dutze) Sims and raised children Scott, Randy and Shay.

Dennis devoted his life to working at Klements Sausage, Fiat Allis, Culligan, Rank Video and Iner-Tractor.  He loved to fish, deer hunt, and cheer on the Green Bay Packers.  Dennis was tender hearted and had a gentle soul, with a great sense of humor.  After his wife Sharon passed away in 2010, he moved from Lake Geneva to Marshfield, WI to be closer to family.  He was loved so much and will be missed by family and friends.

Dennis is survived by his children: Craig Palms (Hustiford, WI), Tom (Lisa) Seager (Racine, WI) and Brenda Davis (Madison, WI)  Step-children: Scott Sims (Linda )(Fox Lake, IL), Randy (Julie) Sims (San Diego, CA), and Chris (Shay) Cooper (Elmhurst, IL). Dennis had 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Brothers: Barry Palms, Keith (Susan) Palms and Jeff (Laura)Palms.  Brother-in-laws: John (Nancie) Dutze, David (Anne) Dutze. Sister-in-law: Carol Lawson (Rich), Aunts: Wilma Erickson, Iva Palms, Pat Iello, Special Friend: Doris Mc Glenn and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pre-deceased by wife Sharon, parents, brothers Craig and Skip, and numerous Uncles, Aunts and cousins.
