Dixie Belle Faul, 79, was released into the arms of Jesus on March 7, 2025, from her earthly home in Neillsville, WI, with her family by her side. She was born on January 31,1946 at Greenwood Maternity Home, the oldest daughter of Edmond and Helen (Hall) Morrison. She attended school in the township of Butler and Eau Claire, finishing her last two years at Augusta High school, graduating in 1964. Dixie was a hardworking, devoted, and loving woman. She was known by many as the energizer bunny. Her energy, love, and care for others was boundless.

After graduation Dixie moved to Racine beginning her career as a bookkeeper working for Farmer's & Merchant Bank and then at Brown National Bank in Kenosha where she met her first husband John Becker. After the birth of their second child, with two more to follow, Dixie became a stay-at-home mom, developing her skills of sewing, knitting, crocheting, and managing an in-home daycare. After moving to Neillsville in 1975, she briefly became a loan teller at M&I Bank. Shortly before becoming a single mother, she found her favorite career working for Green Thumb, Inc, currently known as Experience Works, Inc, working from January 1977 to September 2003. The program began with federal grant funds utilized as part of Farmers Union Green Thumb, to improve older adults' lives through training, community service, and employment. Using her lifelong love of crunching numbers, organizational skills, making a budget work, and helping people, Dixie grew her on-the-job learning of computers and many different computer programs as they came into existence. She helped the program convert from manual to computerized payroll and also had many other bookkeeping, receptionist, and office management duties. She used these skills to later help her daughter Penny start her own first business. As the Green Thumb office was located in the Clark County Courthouse, Dixies' daughters have many fond memories of all the people they met and watched hard at work in the county offices. One of their fondest memories is borrowing quarters from their mom's desk to buy donuts in the coffee shop and visit with whoever was on break. After this career Dixie went on to work for Figi's, Walmart, Super 8 Hotel, and the Neillsville School District as a "Hot Lunch Lady" from 2005 to 2012.

Dixie (AKA Wonder Woman) met the love of her life, Frederick Richard Faul (Fred, AKA The Hunk) at the courthouse under the Christmas tree in 1977. They both volunteered to decorate the tree. After they met, she would stay late after work just to see Fred when he came into her office to clean. Her plan worked, as they soon started dating and were married on June 10,1978 at the courthouse with Circuit Judge, Lowell Shoengarth officiating the ceremony. After getting married, Dixie moved with her two daughters to Fred's home in rural Granton. The Hunk and Wonder Woman lived a very happy comic-book story life with their two daughters. Many memories were made together full of laughter and fun-loving antics. Camping, hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking, hosting others for meals, attending church and their daughter's and grandchildren's school activities were some of their favorite things to do together. Dixie made many special memories with her grandchildren, one of the favorites being riding to the creek in the red wagon pulled behind the John Deere lawn mower with Grandma driving. Many friends and family members benefitted from Dixies canning and freezing skills, two of the favorites being her dill pickles and strawberry freezer jam. She and Fred moved back to Neillsville in 2015.

Dixie was very active as a member of the Assembly of God, currently Hillside Community Church. She served as a treasurer, Sunday school and childrens church leader, Royal Rangers assistant, nursery caregiver, and in many other roles from 1977 to 1999. She was also active as a member of Living Hope EFC from 2001 to present in many different roles and outreach ministries in the community. After retiring from her career life and having some health struggles she remained active in visiting and music ministry in local assisted living facilities and loved her volunteer work at the Hospital Auxiliary with the Dixie Chicks cleaning crew. They were a great source of help and comfort in the past two years.

Everyone who knew Dixie felt loved, either through gentle or tough love. She was the best kind of friend to have, someone who wasn't afraid to tell you the truth when you needed to hear it. Many enjoyed the fruits of her labor of love. She gave freely and endlessly of her time and energy to others, especially to her grandson Nicholas and her late granddaughter Shylo. She was affectionately known as Grandma Dixie by many. She was not only Grandma, but also a temporary mom when needed. Dixie's life was a powerful example of what it means to follow in the footsteps of Jesus and serve others, not only to her family, but also within the community. She wasn't afraid to share her faith and testimony with others.

In reading this, you are receiving the benefit of Dixies' ongoing love for others. As a mighty prayer warrior, her prayers continue in the lives of those she touched. She never gave up on continually asking God to protect the hearts and minds of not only her family, but everyone she knew and met. Her dying wish was that everyone would desire to have a personal relationship with Jesus, to be saved from the fear of death, and that she could be there at the pearly gate to help welcome them into heaven
