Genie Lynne Mick Schroeder’s life was lost tragically on Friday December 15, 2017. Genie came into the world March 15, 1982 at 3:51 am in Carroll, Iowa born to Todd and Caroline Schroeder. She was united in marriage to Matthew Glinski into this union they were blessed with a daughter, they later divorced. Growing up Genie loved spending time with her family especially her brothers, cutting her dolls and her brother’s hair and many others, developing an amazing talent that was self-taught. She loved to encourage others and make everyone who came into her life know that they were well worth it and that they were loved. Genie was ordained and had performed numerous marriages. Genie loved people, all people, she loved life, learning, teaching and had always known she was a work in progress. Genie always strived to become a better person than she was the day before. Anything that came in her way she knew how to handle and every opportunity she got that would benefit her and her family she would take. She never gave up, no matter what obstacle was put in her way. She always had a smile on her face and had a great personality that showed through to so many. She was always very proud of her children making them a topic of many conversations. She is survived by her children Winter 16, Trumale 14, Travonte 10, Tricente 9, Triazaih 8, IcaLynne 4 and step daughter Mya 10. Her parents Caroline (Bob) Wetzel Neillsville, Todd Schroeder Carroll, IA. Siblings Nathan (Renee), of Neillsville, Paul of Eau Claire and Cole Schroeder Neillsville. Her maternal grandparents Margaret and Burton Potts Bismarck North Dakota. Frank and Marj Mick Bismarck North Dakota. Nieces and nephews; Abigail, Payton, Parker, Alana, and Eathan. Special friend Terrance Fletcher, and many other friends and relatives. She is preceded in death by paternal grandparents Roseanne and Burdette Schroeder, a nephew, Eathan Schroeder and many dear friends. Funeral Services for Genie will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 22, 2017 at the Hillside Community Church in Neillsville. Pastor Joe Weiers will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Friday at the Hillside Community Church. Serving as pallbearers will be her son Tramale Meyers, her nephew Payton Schroeder, her brothers Cole Schroeder, Nathan Schroeder, Paul Schroeder, her step father Bob Wetzel.
