Jayne Elayne Perrine

April 14, 1951 — July 13, 2022

Jayne Perrine, age 71, of Neillsville, WI died Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at the Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield after a long battle with cancer.

 

Jayne Elayne Zschernitz was born on April 14, 1951, the daughter of Louis and Genevieve (Irish) Zschernitz at the hospital on State Street in Neillsville. She attended school in Neillsville and during high school worked at Prock’s Grocery Store on Neillsville’s north side. She graduated from Neillsville High School in 1969 and then continued to work at Prock’s before joining the First National Bank and working part-time at Ben Franklin’s in Neillsville. On August 15, 1970, she was united in marriage to John C. Perrine at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville. In March of 1987 she began working for the Neillsville School District, first as a teacher’s aide, then as a custodian and finally as an Administrative Assistant in the Administration Office. She retired in 2013 and enjoyed spending more time with her grandchildren.

 

Jayne was a member of the Hillside Community Church in Neillsville. She volunteered her time at the hospital gift shop at the Marshfield Medical Center in Neillsville. She enjoyed baking and she especially liked sharing her baked goods with others. Jayne was a sweet, kind-hearted woman who loved her family very much. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

 

Jayne is survived by her husband, John, three children, Jeff (Karen) Perrine of Marshfield, WI, Joe Perrine of Wittenberg, WI and Jill (Keith) Hertel of Marshfield, WI, nine grandchildren, Katie (Jordan) and James, Nick (Chelsea), Dominic, Ethan (Miranda), Taylor and Macy, Brett and Jordy, four great grandchildren, Eleanor, Kennedy, Madison and Otis, six siblings, Larry Zschernitz of Wausau, WI, Gary (Margie) Zschernitz of Neillsville, WI, Alan (Karen) Zschernitz of Marshfield, WI, Terry Zschernitz of Neillsville, WI, Joel (Darlene) Zschernitz of Neillsville, WI and Melodie (Gary) Foster of Oklahoma City, OK, and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Zschernitz of Neillsville, WI.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her mother and father-in-law, William and Edna Perrine, two brothers, Ronnie Zschernitz and Tom Zschernitz, siblings-in-law, Patricia and Marvin Mohr, William and Carol Perrine and Joyce Zschernitz.

 

A Memorial Service for Jayne will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 23, 2022, at the Hillside Community Church in Neillsville. Pastor Douglas Bjerke and Pastor Chris Elflein will co-officiate. Interment will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 22nd at the Gesche Funeral Home and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Saturday at the Hillside Community Church.
