Leroy Charles Mather was born on September 12, 1937 in Burlington, WI the son of Charles John and Bernadette (King) Mather. He graduated from Burlington High School, and then worked on the family farm. On June 22, 1958 was united in marriage to Rosemary Marie Bender in Burlington. Leroy then worked as a self-employed home improvement specialist for 40 years, retiring in June of 1999. He was a hard-working man, and he was proud of the homes he built for his family during that time. After retiring, he and Rosemary moved to Neillsville.
Leroy was a member of the Burlington Sno Snoopers for 40 years. His fondest memories were the trips they would take to Florida with family and friends in their motorhome. He loved taking nature walks and 4-wheeling in the woods. He also liked snowmobiling, hunting, fishing and mowing the grass.
Leroy was a loving husband and father and a friend to all. His greatest lesson in life was to work hard, treat everyone like family and remember to say, “I love you”.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rosemary, three children, Dawn (Tyler) Schlickman of Durand, IL, Michael (Kristen) Mather of Hampton, NH and Timothy (Logan) Mather of Menomonie, WI, six grandchildren, Jessica (Ryan) Reuterskoid, Jason Katzman, Cierra (Rudy) Evans, Cole Woolever, Lillianna Mather and Heinz Mather.
