LuAnn Elayne (Sturz) Klueckmann, born on August 26, 1954, in Eau Claire, WI to Kenneth and Lillian (Tafel) Sturz passed away on July 23, 2024, in Hayward, Wisconsin. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and boundless adventure, cherished by all who knew her.
LuAnn spent her childhood in Fall Creek, where she developed a lifelong love for community. She was united in marriage with the love of her life, Shorty (Larry) Klueckmann on November 6th, 1972 in Cook County. They moved to the Neillsville area shortly after where they began to raise their family. Their journey led her to a fulfilling career, working on the road alongside her beloved husband for 28 years. Following their retirement from the road, LuAnn worked in housekeeping around Neillsville and Hayward, later bringing joy to many behind the deli counter at Gordy's and Marketplace, where she indulged her passion for cooking and serving others.
Known affectionately as "Margaret" by her husband, LuAnn was the cornerstone of her family, described by her loved ones as a wonderful human being, a sweetheart and the glue that held them together. Her hobbies included crafting, playing bingo, brain puzzles, and engaging in trivia. She relished her time at the lake, cherished family gatherings, playing with her great grandchildren and taking trips to the casino where she played Blackjack and penny machines while sipping on a Diet Coke. She was well known for her love of 15-minute power naps, watching The Game Show Network and "soaps."
LuAnn is survived by her husband, Shorty; their children, Lisa, Scott (Alicia), Leon (Tracey), Glen (Tami) & Brandi (Kevin), and son-in-law, Jim; along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Details of her preceded family members remain cherished memories held close by the family.
A celebration of LuAnn's life will be held on July 28th, 2024, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Apple Valley Road Haus in Neillsville.
