Roland Marvin Krueger

September 27, 1930 — October 16, 2018

Roland Krueger, age 88, died peacefully at Saint Mary’s hospital in Rochester, MN on October 16, 2018 following a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.

He was born a twin on Sept. 27, 1930, in Mosinee, WI to Marvin and Ella Krueger. 

He graduated from Mosinee H.S., earned a Bachelor’s  Degree  from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point,  Master’s Degree from University of Northern Michigan, and later a Doctorate Degree from University of Wisconsin -  Superior.

During his career, Roland was a teacher and H.S. Principal at Spencer, WI. H.S. Principal at Lomira, WI, and School District Administrator at Granton, WI where he was instrumental in establishing remote classes via telecommunications.  He retired in 1990 in Neillsville, WI and moved to Rochester, MN in 2013. 

Roland was very dedicated to advancing education during his career and enjoyed gardening, canoeing, biking, cc skiing, traveling and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed volunteering at the Clark County Historical Museum in Neillsville and singing with the Clark County Men’s Chorus and his church choir. 

Roland  is survived by his wife of 57 years, Suzanne, three children, Mark (Maria Grajeda), Chaparral, NM., David (Lori Barth), Cedar Rapids, IA., and James (Renee Paun), Byron, MN.,  9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

A private family service will be held in Rochester.
